Commercial Manager Contracts

Location: NSW, Australia; hybrid arrangement with three days in the office and two days working from wherever works best.

What you will do

• Draft and negotiate standard and bespoke customer contracts, variations, promotions, notices, novations, settlements, and terminations.
• Ensure contracts comply with the Sale Contracts Policy and applicable legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Provide first-level legal and commercial guidance to the hirify.global Wholesale Division in partnership with the Legal team.
• Manage operational, legal, financial, and credit risks within commercial contracts.
• Coordinate with the regulatory team on strategic, operational, technical, and legal compliance matters.
• Improve contract governance processes from drafting requests through signing.

Requirements

• Law degree or equivalent legal academic qualification.
• Extensive experience in contract drafting, negotiation, legal risk management, compliance, and governance.
• Strong prior experience as a private-practice lawyer or in-house legal counsel is highly preferred.
• Ability to draft bespoke legal and commercial terms without precedents.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, problem-solving, commercial judgment, and business acumen.
• Ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision; telecommunications or wholesale experience is desirable.
