FIFO Level 2/3 IT Support Engineer (Mining)

Location: FIFO remote mining site in Western Australia; regular travel to site and rostered onsite work required

Salary: AUD 60–80 per hour plus superannuation

What you will do

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support to users across a remote mining operation.
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, Windows environments, networking, wireless communications, and site infrastructure.
• Support servers, storage, and enterprise technologies including Cisco, Dell, Cisco UCS, and Pure Storage.
• Diagnose incidents, complete technical maintenance, document solutions, and escalate complex issues.
• Deliver dependable customer service while working independently with site users and specialist technical teams.

Requirements

• Previous FIFO experience in mining, resources, construction, or another remote-site environment.
• Strong Level 2/3 IT support experience across desktop, networking, communications, and infrastructure.
• Practical troubleshooting experience with Windows devices, servers, switches, and wireless environments.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with site users and technical teams.
• Availability to travel to site, work in a rostered environment, and operate in hot, physically demanding remote-site conditions.
• Ability to commence quickly; short notice periods and current availability are preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with Cisco, Dell, Cisco UCS, Pure Storage, and enterprise wireless technology.
• Mining technology, operational technology, and site communications experience.
• Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, or ITIL certifications.
