Sr Technician - Manufacturing Technician/Seibi (Bodyweld)

Location: Georgetown, Kentucky, United States; position located at PEMC. Up to 30% travel or dispatch to manufacturing centers and suppliers in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, including international travel to Japan.

What you will do

• Conduct digital engineering studies using 3D simulation to create virtual robot programs and confirm new-model process feasibility.
• Verify Digital Factory Conditions and conduct new-model process planning studies.
• Create weld schedule instruction sheets and supplemental documentation for manufacturing customers.
• Support Machine Seibi activities, including robot programming at vendor facilities and manufacturing centers.
• Prepare and confirm new or modified Body Weld equipment and develop equipment countermeasures during planning, setup, and trial phases.
• Travel or dispatch for up to 30% of the time and work up to 50% overtime, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• Associate technical degree or higher, or two years of equivalent technical work experience in a body shop.
• Intermediate Delmia (Carott3) experience performing 3D robot simulation studies for offline robot programming; other 3D simulation software may be considered.
• Ability to travel up to 30%, including international travel.
• Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
• Must have the right to work in the United States without current or future employment-based visa or work authorization sponsorship.

Nice to have

• B.S. in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
• CAROTT SEIBI, MACHINE SEIBI, ROBOT PRE-DE, or Body Weld maintenance experience.
• Industrial robot programming using teach pendants or offline coding.
• Visual Components (BisFactory) experience.
• Body Weld shop project or mass production experience.
