TACOM (RRAD): Environmental Supervisor (Contingency)

Location: Red River Army Depot, Texas, United States; onsite work with possible shifts, overtime, and weekend support

What you will do

• Supervise environmental personnel and oversee hazardous material and hazardous waste programs.
• Implement and maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and Army environmental regulations, including RCRA, NEPA, the Clean Air Act, and the Clean Water Act.
• Develop environmental project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, permits, assessments, and regulatory documentation.
• Coordinate inspections, respond to noncompliance findings and notices of violation, and serve as the focal point for environmental regulatory personnel.
• Advise management, operating officials, regulatory agencies, and community groups on environmental compliance matters.
• Plan and assign work, set performance standards, train employees, conduct appraisals, and support personnel actions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Typically 5+ years of experience in environmental compliance, safety, or a related field in an industrial, military, or government environment.
• Prior supervisory or team lead and personnel management experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required environmental certifications, such as RCRA or HAZMAT certifications.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Government security clearance are required.
• Ability to work in an environment involving standing, walking, lifting, machinery, tools, fuels, oils, and outdoor conditions.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field.
• Experience supporting DoD, Army, or TACOM programs.
• Experience managing environmental compliance programs in maintenance or industrial environments.
• Familiarity with Army environmental policies and reporting systems.
• Professional environmental certifications or government contracting experience.
