Senior Controls & Automation Engineer (AI)

Location: Greensboro Browns Summit Plant, North Carolina; in-person work in the office 5 days a week

Salary: $110,000–$165,300 per year

What you will do

• Design and implement control strategies for Oral Care manufacturing processes.
• Develop and program automation solutions using PLCs, SCADA systems, and other control technologies.
• Integrate data analytics, machine learning algorithms, and AI-driven solutions into process control and decision-making.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to identify automation opportunities and drive continuous improvement.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize existing control systems for performance, reliability, and safety.
• Prepare technical documentation and train plant personnel on new systems and technologies while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Engineering.
• Experience with process and/or machine control.
• Expertise with sensors, motors, PLCs, and industrial automation.
• At least 5 years of professional experience collaborating across teams and organizations.
• Ability to work in person 5 days a week at the Greensboro Browns Summit Plant in North Carolina.
• Ability to travel 10% internationally and domestically.

Nice to have

• Electrical Engineering degree.
• Experience with Rockwell ControlLogix platforms.
• Experience with computer and industrial networks.
