Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Denver, Colorado, US; on-site. Denver is the home base, with approximately 25% travel to manufacturing partners and deployment sites.

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 per year plus bonus. Restricted Stock Units are included in all offers.

What you will do

• Own instrumentation and controls deliverables for assigned building-level and major systems, from concept through as-built documentation.
• Develop and lead factory acceptance testing for control panels and integrated modular systems, resolving discrepancies before shipment.
• Resolve equipment substitutions, installation deviations, and calibration issues in manufacturing and construction environments.
• Improve repeatable design packages, drawing templates, and testing procedures for the modular data center platform.
• Coordinate technical work with control panel fabricators, systems integrators, and instrument suppliers.
• Support control loop checkout, startup, field verification, commissioning readiness, schedule tracking, and team mentorship.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of professional experience in industrial instrumentation and controls, with independent ownership of design and commissioning deliverables.
• Strong experience with Rockwell and Allen-Bradley platforms, including Studio 5000 and ControlLogix or CompactLogix hardware.
• Hands-on experience with Ignition SCADA or a comparable platform, including tag architecture, screen development, historian configuration, and integration troubleshooting.
• Experience authoring and executing test procedures, closing discrepancies, and making verification release decisions.
• Experience working in active manufacturing or construction environments and producing accurate technical documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Nice to have

• Data center, mission-critical, or other high-availability industrial controls experience.
• Experience with modular or prefabricated equipment platforms.
• Practical knowledge of Modbus TCP, BACnet, or OPC UA in multi-vendor environments.
• Systems integrator or EPC experience, OT cybersecurity knowledge, or relevant Rockwell, Inductive Automation, or network certifications.
• Interest in energy and AI infrastructure.
