DTP Designer (Japan)

Location: Fully remote, based anywhere in the UK or Japan

What you will do

• Manage desktop publishing and layout for localised hirify.global products, primarily Japanese content.
• Review PDFs for printed publications and downloads and perform final checks of InDesign files.
• Implement translation amendments while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and product standards.
• Set typesetting and desktop publishing standards and improve localisation processes.
• Coordinate schedules and priorities with the design team lead to deliver projects on time.
• Provide graphical and layout solutions for products and packaging in collaboration with games design teams.

Requirements

• Professional experience in desktop publishing design and layout for print and digital content.
• Experience with translation and localisation workflows.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including essential experience with InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Excellent English and Japanese language skills required.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation, resilience, and understanding of publishing design standards.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of a DTP-CAT tool pipeline.
• Additional language skills.
• Experience with historical and contemporary publishing trends.
