Spanish (LATAM) Linguist

Location: Remote

What you will do

• Perform copy-editing and on-demand translation for assigned projects and accounts.
• Provide lead support, manage project queries, and coordinate with freelance linguists, partner agencies, clients, and internal teams.
• Maintain glossaries, style guides, work instructions, and other language assets according to quality standards.
• Resolve terminology and language questions while ensuring consistent, high-quality deliverables.
• Train and mentor internal linguists and external partners.
• Support process improvements and meet productivity, delivery, and quality KPIs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Applied Languages, Linguistics, or a related field, or equivalent professional translation experience.
• Native fluency in Latam Spanish and fluent written and spoken English are required.
• 4+ years of experience in translation, localization, editing, or content writing, including 2+ years of review experience.
• Thorough understanding of localization processes and solid working proficiency with CAT tools such as XTM or Trados Studio.
• Experience with issue-tracking or query-management platforms such as Jira.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, feedback, presentation, training, and deadline-management skills.
