Manager, Production Scheduling

What you will do

• Lead, manage, and develop the production scheduling team, including priorities, coaching, output reviews, and coverage.
• Own weekly and daily non-sterile compounding schedules to support finished-goods availability while minimizing waste and downtime.
• Translate production plans and demand forecasts into executable schedules aligned with inventory policies.
• Partner with production planning, demand planning, and Compounding Operations to align schedules, capacity, staffing, shifts, and overtime.
• Develop capacity models and what-if scenarios covering labor, machine time, equipment utilization, staffing, sequencing, and contingency planning.
• Monitor performance against plan, maintain scheduling dashboards and KPIs, analyze variances, and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in production scheduling, production planning, or resource planning, with experience leading or developing others.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Deep knowledge of supply chain and manufacturing planning and scheduling processes.
• Proficiency in inventory management concepts and strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Excel proficiency, including lookups, PivotTables, and external data connections.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• APICS or CPIM certification.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or pharmacy production and manufacturing environments.
• Basic SQL or Python experience.
