Senior Manager, Security Engineering and Operations (Cybersecurity)

Location: Remote for US-based candidates; Palo Alto, California. Must be flexible to work in the US/EST or US/PST time zone and provide after-hours or on-call support when needed.

Base pay: $146,400–$219,600 per year for US-based candidates.

What you will do

• Plan, design, implement, and support the information security technology stack.
• Lead the deployment and upgrading of security technologies and program enhancements.
• Monitor security events, investigate anomalous activity, and respond to incidents and emerging threats.
• Improve security posture across endpoints, networks, applications, servers, and cloud environments.
• Drive automation and orchestration for security monitoring and response processes.
• Provide hands-on security consulting and mentor security engineering and operations teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in security operations, orchestration, incident response, threat detection, and vulnerability management.
• Strong experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk or Gurucul, including data ingestion, alert correlation, dashboard creation, performance optimization, and lifecycle support.
• Experience with incident investigations, forensic analysis, MITRE ATT&CK, endpoint detection and response, and common attack techniques.
• Hands-on expertise in at least two areas including cloud security, identity and access management, network security, email security, and DLP.
• Experience with AWS, Google Cloud Platform, SaaS and cloud resources, and security automation using Python, PowerShell, BASH, or orchestration workflows.
• Must be flexible to work in the US/EST or US/PST time zone and support after-hours or on-call operational and project activities.

Nice to have

• At least 7 years of relevant IT security experience.
• Two or more certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, GCIH, GPEN, or GWAPT.
• Expertise in AWS security, Azure, IAM/SSO, Active Directory, PAM, endpoint security, DLP, PKI, key management, Salesforce Shield, or security orchestration.
