Location: Hybrid position based in Short Hills, New Jersey; Hartford, Connecticut; or Charlotte, North Carolina, United States.
Salary: USD $130,000–$176,000 per year.

What you will do
- Act as a senior subject matter expert and escalation point for Cyber Defense while mentoring team members.
- Monitor, investigate, triage, and respond to security alerts across endpoint, network, identity, email, and cloud environments.
- Lead incident response activities, including scoping, evidence review, forensic support, documentation, containment, and escalation.
- Administer, tune, troubleshoot, upgrade, and optimize EDR, SIEM, NAC, vulnerability management, and related security platforms.
- Manage technical improvement initiatives, reduce false positives, close visibility gaps, and enhance detection workflows and reporting.
- Partner with IT teams, business units, and external vendors on remediation, security capabilities, policies, standards, and compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, risk management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in information technology, information security, or risk-related roles.
- 5+ years of direct cybersecurity experience in security operations, incident response, cyber defense, detection engineering, or related disciplines.
- Experience independently managing complex technical work and driving security initiatives from assessment through implementation.
- Working knowledge of NIST CSF, SOX, HIPAA, and NYDFS 23 NYCRR 500.
- Availability for after-hours support and participation in the IT Security on-call rotation.
