Senior Facilities Engineer (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing)

Salary: $36.00–$50.48 per hour

What you will do

• Provide hands-on technical support for pharmaceutical process and production equipment, including fill lines, isolators, parts washers, and autoclaves.
• Respond to equipment malfunctions, troubleshoot failures, and coordinate resolutions with equipment owners, engineers, vendors, and technical teams.
• Support preventive maintenance, calibration, critical spare-parts inventory, work orders, GMP records, and manufacturing documentation.
• Identify recurring equipment issues and develop sustainable reliability and continuous-improvement solutions.
• Support manufacturing personnel onboarding, technical training, new product introductions, and technology-transfer activities.
• Participate in periodic on-call rotations and reprioritize work to minimize production disruptions.

Requirements

• High school diploma with at least six years of manufacturing-equipment maintenance experience, or an associate degree or higher in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in a sterile fill-finish manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of GMP standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
• Ability to work independently, follow established procedures, and communicate effectively across technical and operational teams.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, operate tools and equipment, and lift or move up to 40 pounds.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of high-speed aseptic filling, isolator barrier systems, single-use components, sterile filtration, and aseptic filling.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Experience troubleshooting complex pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and improving preventive maintenance practices.
