Senior Manager Maintenance & Facilities (Diagnostics)

Location: On-site in West Sacramento, California, United States. Travel of approximately 10–15% to US manufacturing sites and supplier locations is required.

Salary: $150,000–$165,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Lead and develop a high-performing maintenance organization through coaching, succession planning, and performance management.
• Drive equipment reliability and uptime through preventive and predictive maintenance, RCA, FMEA, RCM, condition monitoring, and predictive analytics.
• Oversee facilities operations including HVAC, utilities, plumbing, compressed air, chilled water, building infrastructure, and office facilities.
• Champion TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Reliability Excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage operating budgets, capital investment plans, contractors, service agreements, maintenance labor, inventory, and capital expenditures.
• Ensure safe operations, sustainability, energy optimization, and compliance with GMP, FDA, ISO, OSHA, environmental, and corporate standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Several years of progressive leadership experience in maintenance, engineering, or operations, preferably in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, diagnostics, or life sciences environment.
• Knowledge of TPM, reliability engineering, preventive and predictive maintenance, RCA, and CMMS/EAM platforms such as SAP PM, Maximo, Fiix, Infor, or equivalent.
• Experience managing maintenance budgets, capital projects, contractors, and external service providers.
• Strong understanding of GMP regulations, FDA requirements, quality systems, and regulated manufacturing environments.
• Ability to work on-site in West Sacramento and travel to US manufacturing and supplier locations as required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or Business Administration.
• CMRP, CRE, or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
• Knowledge of digital maintenance technologies and Industry 4.0 applications.
