Process Development Engineer III (Purification Development)

Location: On-site in Tarrytown, New York, United States; full-time standard business hours with on-site presence required for laboratory operations and equipment support.

Salary: $109,900–$179,300 annually.

What you will do

• Design, lead, and respond to experiments and projects involving chromatography-based protein purification.
• Develop purification technologies, introduce new laboratory technologies, and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Write and review complex technical documents and deliver scientific presentations to internal and external audiences.
• Maintain and improve laboratory operations, data and knowledge management systems, equipment, supplies, and safety practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and external groups, represent PMPD in multifunctional meetings, and communicate program updates to senior staff.
• Mentor peers, direct reports, and other PMPD personnel while guiding work and delegating responsibilities.

Requirements

• Engineering degree with industrial experience: 0–2+ years for a PhD, 3–5+ years for an MS, or 7–10+ years for a BS.
• Industrial experience in protein purification.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and build multifunctional relationships.
• Experience with Empower, Unicorn, PI Historian, JMP, LIMS, Spotfire, RPES, and ELN.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, multitask, and solve complex and ambiguous problems.
• Hands-on work with specialized laboratory equipment in an on-site laboratory environment is required.
