What you will do

• Design and execute longitudinal in-vivo rodent studies supporting cardiovascular disease programs.
• Perform cardiac and vascular surgical models in mice and rats, including TAC, myocardial infarction, and renal/kidney models.
• Administer test articles through IV, SC, and IM routes and implant osmotic minipumps.
• Implant telemetry devices for continuous blood pressure and ECG monitoring and conduct invasive PV-loop hemodynamic assessments.
• Collect and process ex-vivo tissue, including cardiac dissociation through Langendorff perfusion.
• Manage study logistics, animal health monitoring, post-operative care, data analysis, reporting, and collaboration with study directors and therapeutic-area scientists.

Requirements

• BS with 10+ years or MS with 6+ years of relevant experience in physiology, biomedical sciences, veterinary science, or a related field.
• Hands-on expertise in rodent cardiac and vascular surgical models, including TAC, myocardial infarction, and renal/kidney models.
• Experience with rodent dosing, telemetry implantation, blood pressure and ECG monitoring, and invasive PV-loop measurements.
• Experience with Langendorff perfusion, cardiac tissue dissociation, and rodent anatomy, physiology, and survival-surgery best practices.
• Proficiency with PRISM, PONEMAH, or comparable data-analysis software.
• Strong organizational, communication, scientific-rigor, and animal-welfare skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with additional cardiovascular functional-assessment techniques.
• Experience in a GLP or regulated research environment.
