Senior Research Statistician (Biostatistics)

Salary: $96,500–$183,500 annually

What you will do

• Design, analyze, and report clinical trials and other scientific research studies.
• Support protocol and statistical analysis plan development, data presentation, inference, simulations, and statistical methodology.
• Identify data issues, assumption violations, appropriate data collection instruments, and software needs.
• Provide programming specifications for derived variables and analysis datasets, collaborating with Statistical Programming and Data Science through database lock.
• Develop, validate, document, and maintain reusable statistical modules, analysis templates, benchmark test sets, and quality-control assets using reproducible programming practices.
• Contribute to AI-enabled scientific computing and translate stakeholder requirements into maintainable solutions with documentation, testing, and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• MS with 4+ years of experience or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a closely related field.
• Experience with SAS and R.
• Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain statistical concepts to non-statisticians.
• Ability to perform statistical computations and simulations and identify analytical or data issues.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners and support high-quality scientific reports and publications.
• Ability to work in the hybrid North Chicago role.
