Salary: $104,000–$186,160 per year for the Scientist / Sr. Scientist role. Scientist-level range: $86,320–$154,960 per year.

What you will do

• Independently design and execute studies on the nuclear receptors PXR and CAR under the direction of the principal investigator or senior scientists.
• Develop and characterize chemical probes, including agonists, antagonists, degraders, and PROTAC-based approaches.
• Investigate small-molecule mechanisms of action and define effects on transcriptional networks, drug metabolism, chemotherapy response, and tumorigenesis.
• Integrate cellular, molecular, chemical, structural biology, and medicinal chemistry findings with collaborators.
• Analyze, organize, and interpret experimental data while maintaining data quality and integrity.
• Lead manuscript preparation, present research, support laboratory operations, and train others in laboratory techniques.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field.
• Strong expertise in cell and molecular biology with exposure to chemical biology.
• Experience with several relevant techniques, including cloning, plasmid construction, RNA isolation, gene expression analysis, Western blotting, protein interactions, proteomics, or small-molecule pharmacology.
• Basic understanding of protein crystal structures, ligand–protein interactions, small-molecule structures, and structure–activity relationships.
• Scientist level: 8 years of relevant experience, or 6 years with a master's degree, or 3 years with a PhD.
• Senior Scientist level: 10 years of relevant experience, or 8 years with a master's degree, or 5 years with a PhD.

Nice to have

• PhD in cell biology, molecular biology, chemical biology, pharmacology, or a related field with productive postdoctoral research experience.
• Experience with murine studies.
• Strong record of impactful peer-reviewed publications.
• Academic or industry research experience.
