AI Architect

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Define and lead organizational strategy, patterns, and tooling for prompt design, agentic workflows, and LLM-based application architectures.
• Build reusable design patterns, evaluation frameworks, and developer tooling for multiple teams and use cases.
• Guide the production delivery of LLM-powered products and enterprise software integrations.
• Design retrieval-augmented generation systems using embeddings, vector databases, and modern LLM APIs.
• Establish responsible AI practices covering safety and policy considerations.
• Mentor engineers and influence technical direction across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, or a related field.
• 10 or more years of software engineering experience, including significant work on LLM-based applications.
• Experience shipping LLM-powered products to production.
• Deep familiarity with modern LLM APIs, agent frameworks, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, and vector databases.
• Experience designing evaluation pipelines for non-deterministic systems and strong Python skills with modern application frameworks.
• Strong written and verbal communication, responsible AI knowledge, and a track record of mentoring engineers.

Nice to have

• Public writing, talks, or open-source contributions related to LLM application development.
• Experience with multi-agent architectures, complex tool-use systems, and fine-tuning workflows.
• Exposure to customer support, coding assistant, or analytics agent products.
• Experience integrating LLMs into enterprise systems with strict compliance requirements.
