Deployment Strategist (Systems Engineering)

Location: Washington DC; in-person work in SF is required

Salary: $160K–$210K annually plus equity

What you will do

• Run customer deployments end to end, including kickoff, requirements migration, configuration, workflow redesign, training, and adoption.
• Drive organizational change within customer engineering organizations by building champion networks, removing blockers, and sustaining usage.
• Define deployment success metrics, monitor adoption, diagnose stalled rollouts, and create recovery plans before renewal risk emerges.
• Design Flow configurations around customer programs and coordinate integration work with software-focused deployment engineers.
• Share deployment insights with the product team and partner with sales representatives on expansion opportunities.
• Build deployment playbooks, implementation guides, and training materials for future team members.

Requirements

• Professional customer-facing experience with customers, clients, or external partners in pre-sales, post-sales, deployment, consulting, or customer-facing engineering.
• Experience making organizational change stick and explaining the approach used.
• Ability to work effectively with systems and hardware engineers and translate between technical teams and executives.
• Experience managing long, multi-team rollouts with plans, milestones, stakeholders, and clear written status updates.
• Working-level familiarity with data migration, configuration, and APIs.
• Comfort with ambiguity, ownership, and in-person work in SF.
