Location: Los Angeles HQ; onsite

Salary: $100,000–$115,000 per year

What you will do

  • Lead seasonal color development from initial color standards through bulk production approval.
  • Translate creative color direction into production standards across fabrics, trims, components, and product categories.
  • Evaluate lab dips, strike-offs, yarn dyes, prints, trims, and bulk color submissions, providing actionable feedback and approvals.
  • Coordinate with Design, Materials, Product Development, Production, Sourcing, Quality, mills, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Manage seasonal timelines, approvals, color records, metrics, and documentation across multiple categories.
  • Resolve color discrepancies and improve vendor performance, first-pass approval rates, quality, and process efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Textile Science, Fashion Design, Product Development, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in color development, textile development, materials development, product development, or a related apparel function.
  • Strong knowledge of textile color development, dyeing processes, fabric construction, material behavior, and color theory.
  • Experience evaluating lab dips, strike-offs, yarn dyes, prints, trims, and bulk color, including work with domestic and international mills and vendors.
  • Strong visual color acuity, including a superior score on the HUE MUNSELL 100 Test.
  • Experience with project management, technical communication, problem-solving, PLM systems, Adobe Suite, Airtable, Microsoft Office Suite, and color management software; knowledge of spectrophotometers, lightboxes, Pantone, and Archroma systems is preferred.
