Lead Designer, Performance - HOKA Apparel & Accessories

Location: Portland, Oregon, United States; hybrid with office attendance typically three times per week, Tuesday–Thursday

Salary: $130,000–$140,000 per year

What you will do

• Design performance apparel and accessories aligned with HOKA’s creative direction and brand vision.
• Develop concepts, sketches, artwork, flat sketches, and product ideation for assigned categories.
• Create technical details, tech/spec packages, and tech packs to support product development.
• Collaborate with product and development teams on materials, pricing goals, samples, ordering, and delivery.
• Communicate with high-profile athletes and influencers to inform design direction.
• Translate consumer and market trends into commercial product solutions and contribute to seasonal inspiration planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design or equivalent work experience.
• 5–10 years of apparel design experience with a strong performance apparel portfolio.
• Expert understanding of performance apparel construction and development processes.
• Ability to communicate at a high level with athletes and influencers.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Keynote, and PowerPoint.
• Strong knowledge of current consumer and market trends and their application to product design.

Nice to have

• Experience with 3D rendering software.
