Senior Software Engineer (Backend/Serverless)

Location: Hybrid in Palo Alto, California, with in-office presence Monday–Wednesday

Salary: $183,520–$230,000 annual base pay, plus equity

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable applications and services for growth engineering.
• Develop serverless solutions using TypeScript, Postgres, and AWS.
• Optimize systems and user journeys to improve customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, design reviews, code reviews, and technical decisions.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and maintain reliable, efficient systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote clean, maintainable code and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on backend and serverless architecture.
• Professional experience with TypeScript, Postgres, and AWS services including Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and S3.
• Experience with software design patterns, microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and iterative delivery skills.
• Ability to work from the Palo Alto office Monday–Wednesday.
