Enterprise AI/ML Architect

Location: Remote, limited to candidates residing in Alabama, Arizona, the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Maryland, Mississippi, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or West Virginia. U.S. citizenship and availability during Eastern Time business hours are required. Occasional travel to FAA facilities and other locations in the Continental United States may be required.

What you will do

• Define target-state AI/ML architecture aligned with enterprise data architecture, security requirements, federal governance standards, and responsible-AI principles.
• Design secure ML pipelines, MLOps frameworks, feature stores, model registries, and lifecycle controls from development through retirement.
• Establish architecture patterns for AI services, LLM and NLP capabilities, model integration, explainability, auditability, lineage, and safety controls.
• Shape high-value AI use cases, MVPs, prototypes, pilots, and production implementations.
• Integrate AI capabilities with enterprise platforms, workflows, APIs, data pipelines, Palantir Foundry, and cloud AI services.
• Produce architecture and governance artifacts, support deployment and troubleshooting, and mentor architects, data scientists, ML engineers, developers, security practitioners, and program leaders.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Master’s degree or approved equivalent in data science, information technology, mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in computer science, engineering, or systems analysis with a strong AI/ML focus.
• At least 5 years of hands-on production programming with AI frameworks.
• Experience handling sensitive, confidential, or regulated information and following federal policies and procedures.

Nice to have

• Experience leading AI initiatives in aviation, government, finance, or another regulated environment.
• Production integration experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud AI services.
• Experience with LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation, model alignment, agentic workflows, aviation-safety data, or Palantir Foundry.
