TL;DR
AI/ML Engineer (Python, Generative AI, LLMs): Designing, evaluating, and deploying AI-enabled solutions, intelligent automations, agents, and analytics capabilities for U.S. government educational and operational environments with an accent on responsible AI, governance, model evaluation, and enterprise integration. Focus on building production workflows and intelligent document processing, assessing AI platforms and use cases, and establishing monitoring, risk controls, and human-oversight mechanisms.
Location: Remote. Active Secret clearance required.

What you will do
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and monitor AI-driven solutions and intelligent business process automations.
- Build AI agents, agent-enabled workflows, intelligent document processing capabilities, predictive analytics, forecasting, classification, anomaly detection, and decision-support solutions.
- Integrate AI capabilities with enterprise applications, data platforms, APIs, workflow systems, and Lakehouse-based semantic models.
- Evaluate AI, generative AI, machine learning, and LLM platforms, use cases, pilots, and proofs of concept.
- Develop AI governance supplements covering tool evaluation, model performance, risk controls, incident response, and human oversight.
- Collaborate with data, cybersecurity, governance, application, and program teams while supporting demonstrations, training, documentation, and adoption.
Requirements
- Experience designing, developing, evaluating, or implementing AI/ML solutions and prototypes or production applications.
- Python proficiency and experience integrating APIs, data sources, enterprise applications, and workflow platforms.
- Experience with Power Automate, Copilot Studio, or comparable AI and workflow automation platforms.
- Understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle, including requirements, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Experience with responsible AI, governance, risk management, model evaluation, performance measurement, and monitoring.
- Active Secret clearance required.
Nice to have
- Experience with DoD Responsible AI guidance, federal or education environments, and AI governance frameworks.
- Experience with generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, semantic search, or vector databases.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI, Azure OpenAI, Power Apps, or related Microsoft cloud AI services.
- Experience with intelligent document processing, predictive analytics, forecasting, model guardrails, human-in-the-loop controls, or AI observability.
