Business Data Analyst (SQL)

Location: Remote within the United States; role associated with Calabasas, California

Salary: $110,800–$166,100 annually, plus an eligible annual discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Partner with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand, analyze, and communicate reporting and analytical needs.
• Monitor operational data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Analyze retail, online, and catalog data across sales, product trends, marketing performance, supply chain, and inventory.
• Gather, document, and translate business requirements into technical specifications for development and reporting teams.
• Perform workflow analysis and use data cubes, data mining, and reporting technologies.
• Support sales, marketing, inventory, operations, and enterprise analytics decision-making.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in business analytics or finance teams.
• Strong business requirements gathering, analysis, communication, and ad hoc query skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivots, dashboards, data visualization, formulas, and functions.
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL knowledge is required for querying, profiling, and testing.
• Database exposure to SQL Server, Oracle, or a similar relational database system; retail, catalog, or ecommerce experience is preferred.
