Senior Software Engineer, Common Infrastructure (AI)

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States

Salary: $169,200–$211,500 USD per year for Region B, including Seattle.

What you will do

• Build and extend shared platforms and developer tooling for service development and deployment.
• Design reliable, scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure and reusable services.
• Lead infrastructure projects from requirements and design through implementation, launch, adoption, and production operation.
• Enable teams to build, deploy, and host AI workloads safely, compliantly, reliably, and cost-effectively.
• Establish safe defaults, guardrails, and engineering best practices across the company.
• Mentor engineers and improve software design and implementation quality through hands-on collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Go, Java, Rust, or Python.
• Experience designing and building large-scale, low-latency, highly reliable systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms, cloud-native technologies, software delivery tools, and developer tooling.
• Strong problem-solving, system design, communication, collaboration, and technical project leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience building foundational platforms, developer infrastructure, or reusable shared services.
• Experience improving developer productivity through platform design, tooling, automation, or adoption.
• Experience with observability, performance optimization, or infrastructure cost efficiency.
• Experience with AI infrastructure, including agent identities, MCP servers, LLM gateways, model hosting, or workload orchestration.
• Familiarity with security, privacy, access control, data governance, or compliance for shared infrastructure and AI systems.
