Radar Lead (Automotive Radar)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, USA. Full-time hybrid role based in the Sunnyvale office, combining office and workshop work with time working from home.

Annual base salary: $314,700–$408,100 USD for the Sunnyvale location. Remote-role ranges, where applicable, are localized to the employee’s work location.

What you will do

• Monitor automotive radar technologies, signal processing advances, and the competitive landscape.
• Develop radar data quality guidelines covering calibration, noise reduction, resolution, and range, velocity, and angular accuracy.
• Integrate radar sensor data from different radar types into the AV2.0 driver model and provide expertise in debugging radar-related issues.
• Build and enhance test frameworks to evaluate how radar inputs affect model performance.
• Design experiments with software and model development teams under conditions such as adverse weather, occlusion, and clutter.
• Improve radar data processing, utilization, and collection strategies through cross-functional experimentation.

Requirements

• Proven experience with automotive radar technologies and their integration into software-driven systems.
• Experience with radar data quality control, including calibration, resolution, noise handling, and range, velocity, and angular accuracy.
• Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams from different technical backgrounds.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement based in Sunnyvale, California, USA.

Nice to have

• Basic scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar tools.
• ADAS or autonomous vehicle experience.
