Associate Editor (Animation)

Base salary: $4,623.46–$4,750.00 per week

What you will do

• Conform layout deliveries to existing animatic sequences while adapting the established pacing to 3D production.
• Deliver first-pass picture and sound edits, including temporary sound effects, music, and dialogue.
• Assemble, modify, maintain, and refine sequences as story beats, scripts, and production requirements evolve.
• Support the Lead Editor by running editorial and review sessions and handling special editorial projects and presentations.
• Attend turnovers and screenings, capture notes, and support marketing, franchise, and bonus-content deliveries.

Requirements

• 6+ years of editorial experience in feature film animation.
• Associate-level experience through at least one animated feature film.
• Advanced technical knowledge of AVID Media Composer.
• Understanding of animation pre-production, production, and post-production workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in Film, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Active membership in good standing with the Local 700 union.
