What you will do

• Underwrite environmental, construction, and mining risks across primary, international, and excess commercial casualty lines.
• Design insurance programs for large and complex Canadian-market clients and service an existing renewal portfolio.
• Evaluate, prioritize, and select submissions in line with product guidelines and risk appetite.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, conditions, and transaction structures with brokers and clients.
• Develop broker and client relationships, identify cross-selling opportunities, and grow a profitable book of business.
• Mentor and train other underwriters while contributing to special underwriting projects.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of Commercial Casualty experience.
• Advanced knowledge of casualty products, policy forms, regulatory environments, and primary, excess, or international casualty risks.
• Professional proficiency in both English and French is required.
• Experience in sales, marketing, relationship building, and communication with brokers and clients.
• Strong analytical, organizational, time-management, and technology skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment, adapt to change, and deliver solutions collaboratively.
