Facility Maintenance Technician I (Commercial Facilities)

Location: New York, NY; field-based work across the Greater New York Area. Local travel between multiple sites is required, with home daily. Monday–Friday schedule with an on-call rotation and overtime opportunities.

Salary: $22.00–$26.25/hour plus overtime and full benefits.

What you will do

• Perform general repairs including drywall patching and painting, tiling, basic masonry, shelving and equipment installation, floor repairs, roofing, gutter, and landscaping maintenance.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Inspect facilities, identify issues early, and prevent costly breakdowns.
• Travel between multiple commercial kitchen sites and resolve day-to-day facility issues.
• Partner with internal teams to keep kitchens fully operational.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of handyman, maintenance, or facilities experience.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based role.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of commercial facilities maintenance experience.
• Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or multi-site environments.
• HVAC/R experience or trade school background.
