Consultant - Managed Care - Healthcare

Location: Must be based in Chicago, Washington, DC, Baltimore, or New York; hybrid work arrangement with regular in-office presence. Travel of up to 25% may be required.

Salary: $90,000–$135,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage workplans, checklists, documentation, and multiple analytical tasks within consulting engagements.
• Collect, clean, validate, and analyze data to support managed care negotiation strategy and financial modeling.
• Develop Excel-based analyses and models, exhibits, presentations, and supporting client deliverables.
• Conduct payer, contracting, industry, and market research and synthesize findings into structured insights.
• Maintain quality control through reasonableness checks, auditing practices, and independent validation.
• Support client interactions, provide project updates, and assist with delegating and reviewing Associates’ work.

Requirements

• Must be based in Chicago, Washington, DC, Baltimore, or New York and work in a hybrid arrangement.
• Must be able to verify legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics, mathematics, data science, statistics, finance, accounting, healthcare administration, engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of relevant managed care experience, preferably in consulting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and quality-control skills, with willingness to travel up to 25%.

Nice to have

• Experience with Access, SQL, SAS, Stata, R, Python, Tableau, or similar analytical tools.
