Senior Associate Engineer - Mechanical Design (Inverter Products)

Location: Mossville, Illinois, United States; onsite five days a week. Domestic relocation is available. Travel is expected up to 20% of the time.

Salary: $89,210–$133,810 per year

What you will do

• Develop and support mechanical designs for inverter products within the Integrated Drivetrain Energy Solutions division.
• Create and maintain Creo models, engineering drawings, dimensional tolerances, and design documentation.
• Design and validate mechanical components, assemblies, heat sinks, and other cooling solutions.
• Collaborate with electrical, controls, manufacturing, and supplier teams to integrate mechanical designs into power electronics systems.
• Participate in design reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and vibration, thermal, and durability evaluations.
• Apply mechanical design and manufacturing principles to improve product quality, reliability, efficiency, and ease of assembly.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Working knowledge of design for manufacturability, engineering in manufacturing environments, and standard operating procedures.
• Experience with product testing, analytical problem-solving, technical troubleshooting, and engineering communication.
• Ability to work onsite in Mossville, Illinois five days per week.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience in assembly or manufacturing.
• Experience with heat transfer.
