Senior Facilities Mechanical Engineer (HVAC)

hirify.global's Facilities Operations team maintains and optimizes the mechanical infrastructure supporting manufacturing, clean room, and research and development activities.

What you will do

• Ensure the reliability, availability, and maintenance of chilled water plants, boilers, environmental abatement systems, HVAC systems, and clean room equipment.
• Design, analyze, and troubleshoot mechanical systems to identify systematic issues and implement reliable engineering solutions.
• Develop project scopes of work, conduct design reviews and feasibility studies, and oversee prototype fabrication and design testing.
• Partner with internal customers, operations teams, and maintenance service providers to keep systems operating within specified limits.
• Create mechanical systems roadmaps and asset replacement strategies for reliability, redundancy, capacity planning, expansions, and renovations.
• Support safety, reliability, environmental compliance, sustainability, and operational excellence objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field with 10+ years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with 6+ years, or a PhD with 3+ years.
• Experience with mechanical system design, analysis, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, environmental compliance exhaust systems, or mechanical process equipment.
• Experience using engineering tools for system evaluation and design documentation.
• Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations related to facilities management.
