Principal Data & AI Consultant

Location: Remote, United States; ability to work onsite at corporate or client offices as necessary.

What you will do

• Advise CIO, CTO, CDO, CRO, business, product, and technology stakeholders on Data & AI strategy and solutions.
• Lead discovery and translate ambiguous business problems into measurable, production-ready solutions.
• Design end-to-end architectures across data platforms, analytics, machine learning, GenAI, applications, APIs, governance, and integrations.
• Lead forecasting and predictive-modeling work, including feature design, model selection, tuning, validation, and business-impact measurement.
• Run solution-design workshops, executive readouts, technical discovery, proposals, and solution-shaping activities.
• Mentor multidisciplinary engineering and architecture teams, transfer knowledge, and ensure reproducible documentation and handover.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States for this remote role.
• 7+ years of applied forecasting and data-domain experience, including at least two comparable engagements delivered from discovery through production or handover.
• Expertise in multivariable regression, collinearity analysis, VIF interpretation, model tuning, selection, holdout validation, sparse and zero-inflated datasets, and forecasting metrics.
• Strong Python, SQL, Git, reproducible analytical workflow, notebook, Data Architecture, and Solution Architecture experience.
• Experience with ML, GenAI/LLMs, RAG, AI agents, enterprise AI patterns, data leakage prevention, and point-in-time feature correctness.
• Proven executive communication, client consulting, workshop leadership, thought leadership, and ability to explain model limitations, uncertainty, and risk in business language.

Nice to have

• Experience in sports, media, entertainment, streaming, ticketing, subscriptions, sponsorship, advertising, telecom, or commercial and revenue analytics.
• Hierarchical or mixed-effects modeling, ADRs, large-scale categorical encoding, MLOps, governance, and responsible AI experience.
• Strong Snowflake and Snowflake ML or Model Registry experience.
• 10–12+ years of overall Data, Analytics, AI, Architecture, or related technology experience.
