Maintenance Tool and Die Technician (1st Shift)

Location: On-site five days per week in Columbia, South Carolina, United States

What you will do

• Make, repair, maintain, and diagnose dies, punches, tooling, and other precision parts.
• Review drawings, photographs, and physical parts to build or reproduce components.
• Support maintenance repairs, projects, preventive maintenance, and stable machine-shop operations.
• Prioritize CMMS work orders and direct assignments based on internal customer needs.
• Report quality, process, equipment, material, and labor concerns to the Production Supervisor.
• Support lean manufacturing and 5S activities while collaborating with maintenance, engineering, production, and materials teams.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five years of experience in tool and die shop operations.
• Ability to interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and technical prints.
• Ability to make parts, heat-treat and draw back material, and use precision tools.
• Problem-solving, mechanical aptitude, effective communication, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Nice to have

• CNC programming experience.
