Complex Claim Director, Employment Practices Liability

Location: New York, NY; primarily office-based

Base salary: $120,000–$132,000 annually, plus eligibility for a bonus.

What you will do

• Handle complex Employment Practices Liability claims from inception through conclusion.
• Handle Directors & Officers Liability claims when required.
• Make coverage determinations, investigate losses, evaluate exposures, and set judgmental reserves.
• Develop and implement claim resolution strategies and present cases.
• Work with defense counsel and collaborate with underwriting.
• Provide responsive, fair, professional service to customers and distribution partners.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience handling complex insurance claims, litigation, or related matters.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of litigation and arbitration processes.
• Juris Doctor preferred.
• Ability to work primarily in the New York office.
