Surgical Robotics and Imaging Field Service Engineer (Medical Devices)

Location: Washington, United States; on-site service at hospital customer locations with national and possible international travel.

What you will do

• Coordinate, install, maintain, test, and service medical robotics and imaging products at customer hospitals.
• Perform site acceptance testing and demonstrate system functionality to customer representatives.
• Diagnose reported equipment problems, repair or replace products, and verify issue resolution.
• Perform preventive maintenance, product updates, and capability-enhancing upgrades.
• Document customer visits, test results, feedback, complaints, and unmet expectations.
• Participate in and help manage returned material authorization processing while supporting compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; a science or engineering degree is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Field Service Engineer, preferably in the medical device industry.
• Experience with X-ray systems, including general radiography, fluoroscopy, DR, or C-arms, is preferred.
• Experience with GMP and ISO standards and a strong understanding of healthcare capital equipment.
• Ability to travel on short notice, work independently, enter hospital environments, and maintain vendor requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with strong oral, written, and graphical communication skills.

• Strong knowledge of quality or reliability engineering.
