Medical Imaging Equipment Service Engineer III (Medical Imaging)

Location: Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus, Ohio 43214; on-site service across hirify.global facilities and remote care centers

What you will do

• Perform and manage corrective and preventive maintenance for X-ray, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, cardiac, vascular, mammography, film processor, and laser printer systems.
• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and verify the performance and electrical safety of imaging equipment.
• Provide on-call support for emergency and critical imaging equipment and coordinate repairs with OEMs and third-party service providers.
• Lead service activities, coordinate work for Imaging Engineering Specialists, mentor technical staff, and train imaging equipment users.
• Maintain calibration databases, service documentation, inventories, parts records, and purchase-order paperwork.
• Support equipment replacement planning, safety initiatives, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement across imaging departments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, military electronics training, a degree in electrical engineering technology or a related field, or at least 10 years of medical imaging equipment service experience.
• At least eight years of medical imaging experience is preferred, with extensive experience servicing advanced diagnostic imaging systems required.
• Hands-on advanced service experience with one or more of CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, or X-ray systems.
• Strong knowledge of computer networking, digital imaging systems, PACS integration, microprocessor-based technologies, electronics, mechanical systems, and equipment operation.
• Advanced capability in diagnostic testing, calibration, troubleshooting, repair, performance verification, and optimization, with knowledge of FDA, OSHA, JCAHO, NIOSH, and radiological safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently, lead projects, coordinate resources, communicate with clinical and technical stakeholders, and mentor staff.
