Counsel (Reinsurance)

hirify.global provides life and annuity reinsurance products and supports international reinsurance transactions across multiple jurisdictions.

What you will do

• Advise on, draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts for international reinsurance transactions.
• Support transaction diligence, documentation, execution, contractual compliance, corporate governance, regulatory filings, and document management.
• Analyze applicable laws and regulations and advise business personnel on life and annuity reinsurance matters.
• Partner with actuarial, finance, and corporate development teams on the transaction pipeline.
• Instruct and coordinate external legal counsel when required.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with at least 6 years of legal experience at a leading law firm or in the legal department of a large financial services company.
• Required experience in M&A, reinsurance, or other transactional work.
• Expertise in negotiating and completing reinsurance or strategic corporate acquisition transactions.
• Understanding of financial services regulation and compliance requirements.
• Experience with cross-jurisdictional transactions and complex transaction agreements.
• Strong academic record, professional ethics, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
