Sr Operations Engineer (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Salary: $104,000–$156,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Analyze and improve safety, quality, productivity, logistics, and ergonomics using data analysis, simulations, and Lean Six Sigma methods.
• Develop operational standards, capacity plans, work center layouts, and material flow strategies with cross-functional teams.
• Build and maintain operational metrics, dashboards, and audit tools for manufacturing and distribution operations.
• Create standard operating procedures and workflow designs that improve workforce efficiency and meet safety and ergonomic standards.
• Implement approved process and system enhancements, including automation pilots and data integrity improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 5+ years of industrial engineering experience, including capacity planning, work center optimization, and operations management.
• Ability to independently own defined projects and collaborate across technical and operations teams.
• Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, A3, 8D, and root cause analysis methodologies.
• Experience with Excel and SQL, plus developing proficiency in PowerBI, 2D/3D design tools, and FlexSim or similar simulation software.

Nice to have

• Experience with MRP/ERP systems, machine learning, predictive modeling, automated systems, or data capture processes.
• Experience with greenfield site development, requirements gathering, or complex assembly-driven manufacturing.
• Familiarity with MODAPTS, MOST, or other labor and time study methodologies.
