Software Engineer III (ACI Wire Platform Support)

Location: Remote within the United States; Hoover, Alabama is listed for the position.

Salary: $65–$70 per hour; 3-month contract-to-hire, W-2.

What you will do

• Support and maintain ACI Worldwide’s Money Transfer System and Universal Payments Framework platforms.
• Coordinate approximately four to six code releases annually from lower environments through production.
• Perform maintenance coding, platform enhancements, application upgrades, and vulnerability remediation.
• Investigate production issues and operational requests related to wire-transfer customers.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across multiple servers and Unix-based environments.
• Collaborate with operational teams, vendor partners, team leads, and internal stakeholders while documenting technical changes and procedures.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with ACI Worldwide MTS and/or UPF.
• Strong experience with AIX, Unix, or Linux operating systems.
• Experience supporting enterprise applications in production and managing releases across development, test, and production environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-server platform issues.
• Strong communication, documentation, collaboration, and independent-working skills.
• Must be available to work remotely from the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting both ACI MTS and UPF.
• COBOL programming or Perl scripting experience.
• Experience with Java and other application-component upgrades.
• Background in wire transfers, payments, banking, transaction processing, legacy financial systems, vulnerability remediation, or security compliance.
