Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – CloudVision as a Service (CVaaS)

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada

Base salary: $95,000–$145,000 per year

hirify.global develops data-driven, client-to-cloud networking solutions for data centers, campuses, and routing environments, including the CloudVision enterprise network management and streaming telemetry SaaS platform.

What you will do

• Operate and improve the global CloudVision service fleet for scalability, reliability, and stability.
• Develop highly automated, self-sustaining production environments for a Kubernetes-native SaaS platform.
• Lead projects involving data platform architecture and performance, capacity planning, autoscaling, disaster recovery, and observability.
• Improve CI/CD change management, service network architecture, cost optimization, and cloud-first application security.
• Participate in a globally distributed follow-the-sun on-call rotation, automate operational processes, and lead incident response and blameless postmortems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or relevant experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience developing or managing distributed database systems or scale-out applications in a SaaS environment.
• Proficiency in Python, Golang, or other programming languages, with comfort in Bash or other scripting languages.
• Experience with Kubernetes-native systems, databases, microservices, and production operations at scale.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform and Google Kubernetes Engine.
• Experience with Ansible, Pulumi, and open-source software integrations.
