Zscaler Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Location: Exclusively onsite at a client location in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; candidates must reside in the Ottawa area.

What you will do

• Maintain and improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of secure cloud infrastructure and mission-critical services.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
• Automate operational tasks and infrastructure management using scripting and Infrastructure as Code.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues.
• Support CI/CD processes, deployment automation, capacity planning, incident response, and problem management.
• Implement and support Zero Trust and secure access technologies, including Zscaler solutions.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience as an SRE, DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Systems Engineer, or in a similar role.
• Canadian citizenship and 10 years of verifiable history on Canadian soil are required for Canadian government security clearance.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, routing, and switching.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and with Terraform, CloudFormation, Terragrunt, or Ansible.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, automation programming in Python, Go, Java, or similar languages, and monitoring or observability platforms.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and production-support skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Zero Trust architectures and Zscaler technologies.
