Engineer Automation Quality (Python)

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States; applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer. Visa sponsorship, including CPT/OPT sponsorship, is not available.

Base salary: $72,200–$101,975 per year, with potential bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain moderately complex automated test scripts and test cases.
• Validate software application functionality and keep automated tests aligned with application changes.
• Identify, document, track, and help resolve software defects using tools such as JIRA.
• Document test cases, results, and defects clearly and concisely.
• Collaborate with software engineering and cross-functional teams on application functionality and testing requirements.
• Recommend automation best practices, guide associate automation quality engineers, and perform manual testing when needed.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of overall testing experience, including 2–3 years of automation testing experience or equivalent training.
• Proficiency in core Python concepts and experience with automation tools such as Collibra DQ, Karate, JUnit, or TestNG.
• Experience with requirements analysis, debugging, Git, SQL, database testing, and JIRA or similar tools.
• Knowledge of BDD frameworks and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with UI or API functional testing is helpful; a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

Nice to have

• AWS or Python certification.
• Experience creating unit-testing frameworks with Python.
• Knowledge of continuous integration tools such as Jenkins.
• Proficiency in design and estimation techniques.
