What you will do
- Oversee the purchasing cycle from solicitation and purchase order processing through confirmation and invoice payment.
- Coordinate defective-material returns and replacements with quality assurance and suppliers.
- Supervise procurement professionals handling supplier selection, purchase orders, and contract execution.
- Lead supplier performance management, risk assessment, relationship management, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Coordinate purchasing with engineering and manufacturing to maintain inventory and meet production schedules.
- Support procurement policies, contractual requirements, customer flow-downs, certifications, and production control activities.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of industry procurement practices.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management experience.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
