Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Fully remote or hybrid if local to Buffalo, NY; ability and willingness to travel globally up to 30%

Salary: $135,000–$180,000 annually

What you will do

• Develop and execute tactical and long-term strategic sourcing plans across assigned commodity groups.
• Lead Make-versus-Buy decisions, supplier transitions, supplier selection, and single- or multi-source strategies.
• Build a high-performing supplier network optimized for quality, lead time, continuity of supply, vendor-managed inventory, and total landed cost.
• Develop supplier capabilities through strategic partnerships, investments, training, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Negotiate and manage complex supplier contracts and long-term agreements with Contracts and Legal teams.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a global Strategic Sourcing team while supporting supplier performance, NPI, and corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of global supply chain, strategic sourcing, and leadership experience.
• Experience negotiating and managing complex supplier contracts and long-term agreements.
• Knowledge of supply chain network design, supplier development, strategic sourcing, and risk management.
• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, collaboration, and prioritization skills.
• Knowledge of international trade, import/export compliance, and global regulatory requirements is preferred.
