Software Engineer, Intern - 2027 Austin, TX (Fintech)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; at least 3 days per week in the office; 5–10% travel required

What you will do

• Deploy Kafka clusters through self-service tooling using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop natural-language chatbot and mobile banking application solutions.
• Prototype automated payment solutions and enhance payment usability across platforms.
• Automate processes with low-latency algorithms and create tools for software testing.
• Build monitoring tools to identify transactional issues and route digital currency transactions.
• Support the full software development lifecycle while learning secure coding practices.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS/MIS, Cybersecurity, Business, or a related field.
• Expected graduation between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally.
• hirify.global requires at least 3 days in the office; work hours vary according to department needs.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Java, C/C++, C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, or HTML.
• Experience with automation and testing tools such as Selenium, REST, Python, or Groovy.
• Knowledge of software testing principles, software engineering methodologies, documentation, and analysis.
• Problem-solving, analytical, leadership, collaboration, and ambiguity-handling skills.
