TL;DR
Software Engineer Intern (Fintech): Building and testing software solutions across payment technology projects, including Kafka and Kubernetes deployments, natural-language chatbots, automated payment systems, monitoring tools, and digital currency transaction routing, with an accent on secure coding, automation, and low-latency systems. Focus on designing prototypes, developing testing and monitoring tools, and supporting the full software lifecycle in a 12-week internship.
Location: US - Denver, CO; at least 3 days per week in the office. The position is performed in an office setting and requires 5–10% travel.
Salary: $39–$46 per hour.

What you will do
- Deploy Kafka clusters through self-service tools using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Develop a natural-language chatbot for knowledge-base searches and build monitoring tools for transactional issues.
- Prototype automated payment solutions and enhance Checkout usability across platforms.
- Create testing tools, automate processes with low-latency algorithms, and support software quality activities.
- Design, code, and test software for routing digital currency transactions and developing mobile banking applications.
- Participate in the full software lifecycle and apply secure coding practices.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, CIS/MIS, cybersecurity, business, or a related field.
- Expected graduation between December 2027 and August 2028.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability to work in the US office at least 3 days per week.
- U.S. work authorization is required; sponsorship is not available and future sponsorship will not be considered.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Java, C/C++, C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, or HTML.
- Experience with automation or testing tools such as Selenium, REST, Python, or Groovy.
- Knowledge of software testing principles, software engineering methodologies, process documentation, and analysis.
- Problem-solving, analytical, leadership, collaboration, and ambiguity-management skills.
