Senior Legal Counsel, Commercial Legal (APAC)

What you will do

• Advise APAC sales teams on Terms of Service negotiations, contract redlining, and commercial agreement reviews.
• Lead live negotiations with customers and opposing counsel on strategic and enterprise deals, including customer-paper agreements.
• Serve as the Legal Primary DRI for APAC, handling escalations in-region and in-time-zone.
• Partner with Sales, Finance, Data Protection, AI Governance, and regional counsel to structure agreements and manage legal risks.
• Develop commercial templates, playbooks, processes, training, and automated legal triage and self-service tooling.
• Coordinate jurisdiction-specific advice with local counsel and convert it into practical guidance.

Requirements

• Proven experience with enterprise SaaS agreements, Terms of Service negotiations, and sales contract reviews.
• Qualified to practise in an APAC jurisdiction.
• English is required as the working language for negotiations and internal collaboration.
• Experience operating across multiple APAC jurisdictions and legal traditions.
• Strong commercial drafting, negotiation, strategic thinking, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently with sales and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience supporting sales teams across APAC.
• Additional APAC language skills.
• Prior HR-tech experience or familiarity with bespoke HR services agreements.
