Security Engineer - Cloud Security Controls

Location: In-office role based in Pittsburgh, PA; Strongsville, OH; Dallas, TX; Birmingham, AL; Denver, CO; or Phoenix, AZ

Base salary: $91,000–$185,900 annually, plus incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Build, test, validate, and deploy security controls for Microsoft Azure resources and AWS services.
• Use cloud-provider and third-party CSPM tools to assess cloud workload posture and compliance in CI/CD environments.
• Automate and orchestrate security standards, policies, configurations, and architectures across applications, platforms, and infrastructure.
• Integrate security controls into Security as Code, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud software deployment pipelines.
• Analyze workloads for operational security readiness before production deployment and support existing production technology.
• Collaborate with cloud architects, the SOC, cloud product teams, infrastructure teams, and DevOps; mentor junior engineers and contribute to roadmap planning.

Requirements

• University or college degree, typically a bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
• 5+ years of industry-relevant experience in security engineering or a related field.
• Deep experience with AWS and/or Azure services in an enterprise environment and strong knowledge of cloud security best practices.
• Experience implementing and testing cloud security controls, performing security gap analysis, and assessing workload compliance.
• Proficiency in one or more scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash; expertise with Git and SQL or SQL-type query languages.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and project leadership skills.

• Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900).
• Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500).
• AWS Cloud Security Engineer certification.
